The second project meeting in Vizovice, Czech Republic
The second project meeting in Vizovice, Czech Republic (May 19-24, 20089) 1) 19/05/2008, Monday: · Arrival of all participants in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic. · Journey from Prague to Vizovice (Greek group travelled by train, Latvian and Turkish groups travelled by bus) · Lodging in the nice place called Valassky Senk, Vizovice 2) 20/05/2008, Tuesday: · The meeting of all participants with the school’s representatives, our dear headmistress Mgr. Radmilla KONCERROVA, the introduction of the Czech Republic and Czech Educational System and afterward the acquaintance with the school were carried out at nine o’clock. · While students were taking part in lessons, teachers had a small discussion about the final products at half past ten. · After that, the groups visited altogether an Elementary School at the town square at half past eleven. · Lunchtime in a pretty pub called “U tonka” at a quarter past twelve! · The presentation of two VIP of all groups were performed by students and an enjoyable competition for both students and teachers followed at a quarter past one. · Visits to local firms in Vizovice were made from three o’clock until half past six. Very interesting + rain, rain, rain! · Dinnertime at Valassky Senk! It was delicious! 3) 21/05/2008, Wednesday: · A wonderful “Welcome” was performed by students fort he visitors at the school’s hall and the presentations of the countries followed at nine o’clock. · A visit was made to the “Chateau and park” in Vizovice in accompany with rain at eleven o’clock. Excellent! · Lunchtime again in the pretty “U tonka”. · A visit to Zlin – the region city – where the introduction of Bata was made and the shoe museum was shown. After the meeting with a Zlin councillor it was time for the journey back to Vizovice at half past six. · Dinnertime at Valassky Senk at seven o’clock. · After dinner, it was time for fun, for the Comenius Project party for teachers! 4) 22/05/2008, Thursday: · The visitors had a meeting with the mayoress Mgr. Alena HANAKOVA, the famous photographer Mr. Richard JARONEK, the headmistress Mgr. Eva STASTNA and Mgr. Jirina TALÝCOVA and after the meeting, a photo exhibition in the Cultural Center was visited from nine till eleven o’clock. · An interesting open air museum in Radhost was visited from eleven o’clock until half past seven. · Dinnertime at Valassky Senk at eight o’clock. · The Comenius group met the famous photographer Mr. Richard JARONEK… fine evening! 5) 23/05/2008, Friday: · All visitors departed from Vizovice to Prague by train at half past six. During the journey teachers made the Comenius Project plans for next year. · After lodging in an pretty pension, the guided sightsecing tour started. What a long walk! What a wonderful city!
And… all groups departed… time for goodbyes… Turkish and Latvian groups departed on Saturday and the Greek groups on Sunday… This was the programme of the second Project meeting, a huge organization.
