Politics
The Czech Republic is linked to the rich historical tradition of the Czech Crown Lands, especially with the democratic heritage of 1918-38 , when the Czechoslovak Republic was one of the most advanced nations. At the time, it was considered an island of democracy and civil liberties in Central Europe and an active partner cooperating internationally with democratic countries.
Geography
The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in the middle of Europe. Rather than as a country in the middle of Europe, we should speak of the Czech Republic as a country in the heart of Europe – after all, the heart is not to be found precisely in the center of the human body either.
People and nature
The Czech countryside offers a pleasant combination of mountains, water, meadows and forests. The seasonal changes of weather create a unique environment for various leisure activities, relaxation, sports and agricultural activities, without placing a burden on the environment. Vision of the Czech Republic help keep the right direction to preservation and development of natural beauties.
Health and health care
A modern European country requires a quality health service. The service in the Czech Republic is provided by means of traditional and specialized medical institutions, where various medical procedures are performed, from immunization to demanding operations and research. Vision of the Czech Republic in this field is focused on prevention and maintenance of the high standard of the public healthcare.
Security
The Czech Republic oversees the safety of its residents and visitors. Prevention is a priority, but a significant focus is put on training security units to enable them to quickly and effectively intervene in cases of sudden danger. Vision of the Czech Republic in field of security issues sets direction of all arrangements following these targets.
Transport
The transportation network in the Czech Republic is very dense. In the scope of the European Union, the Czech Republic holds primacy in the density of its railway network, which has 120 kilometers of rail for every 1,000 square kilometers of land. Besides trains, however, there are many other types of transport for traveling in the Czech Republic – personal automobiles, buses, trams, trolleys, airplanes, bicycles or even boats.
Media
The Czech media sector includes one national television and radio station and successful private television stations, radio stations, newspaper and magazines, the distribution of which is objective and balanced. The television studios produce their own projects, including series, films and documentaries of high quality.
